NCEA Level 1 Technology Achievement Standard AS91058 Implement basic procedures using textile material to make a specified product (6 credits)

which relates to Level 6 Achievement and Learning Objective CMT 6-2

OR

NCEA Level 1 Technology Achievement Standard AS91047 Undertake development to make a prototype to address a brief ( 6 credits)

which relates to Level 6 Achievement and Learning Objective TP 6-3

The course will cover:

  • Basic machine sewing techniques- seams, top-stitching, handle attachmentantonio
  • Methods and techniques
  • Health & Safety
  • Troubleshooting
  • Design adaptations

 

Choose one of the following for the focus of your workshop

  • Lined shopper bag
  • Lined messenger bag
  • Bag made from recycled  materials  e.g billboard skin, denim jeans, textile waste

Teacher support includes assessment templates, suggestions for gathering evidence, scaffolding assessment, writing specifications, health and safety considerations and assessment and moderation best practice.

Cost   $750 + GST (Includes materials for each participant)

Cost is per workshop based on a maximum attendance of 20 participants within the Auckland Super City region.  Each workshop is one full day or can be split over 2 days.
